Station bar opened 2021 on Platform 2 (York-bound) of Knaresborough's Grade II listed railway station. Operated by the owners of Gorilla Brewing in South Yorkshire, this is an award-winning renovation by them of an old railway building, comprising two rooms, a large room and a snug. At the back of the larger room a bar constructed of old railway sleepers with a length of railway track at its foot, has four handpulls at the front, showcasing beers from Gorilla, often including a dark, and occasionally a guest ale. There are six keg lines, some of which sometimes dispense KeyKeg beers.
Operating hours are those stated here, but note that sometimes, particularly on train strike days, the pub may open later or not at all. Check Facebook page (not website) for latest information, although this is not always updated, so advice is to check in advance with the pub before making a special journey.
NB. A small premium is sometimes charged on the price of half pints, particularly on beers from other breweries. Prices for pints and halves are displayed on a board on the wall to the left-hand side of the bar though this is only sporadically updated; you are advised to check prices before ordering.
